FAQ

Is there a link between balbek bureau architectural studio and the namesake fund?

balbek bureau created the fund to implement its social initiatives, including the first RE:Ukraine Community Hub project in the village of Vorzel, Bucha district.

I recall the news about the RE:Ukraine Housing pilot project in Vorzel. Is it now a RE:Ukraine Community Hub?

Yes. The project in Vorzel, which we launched in May 2022 to address the need to accommodate internally displaced persons, will retain its residential component. However, after consultations with the Bucha community, we have expanded its functions. Now, it is a social support center where citizens can receive administrative and social services, as well as rehabilitation counseling, both physical and psychological.

Do you raise funds to construct all RE:Ukraine Housing settlements?

No, the balbek bureau charity fundraises only for the RE:Ukraine Community Hub in Vorzel, the construction of which was initiated and coordinated by our studio. Its residential section is designed using the RE:Ukraine Housing system.

For other settlements (such as the one in Lutsk), which are built under the RE: Ukraine Housing system, balbek bureau develops a master plan and working files of the project stage, provides contractors database and author's supervision. These projects are funded by local initiative groups.

The company I represent has an idea for a partnership. Do you cooperate with businesses?

We appreciate the support from socially responsible businesses. Please contact us at hello@reukraine.org – we will look into your inquiry and reach out to discuss potential cooperation.
